new threads, girls on the web

After a two-week reprieve from the cold in Santiago and Rapel, we returned to the Magallanes region in early December to find a box of new action suits waiting for us.

Thanks to the Patagonia, Inc. photo department (Andrew Marshall, Jane Sievert, Jenning Steger, Cameron Tambakis, Sus Correz, and Karen Bednorz) for supporting our family sailing & adventure program.  A huge thanks to Mary & Edmundo Larenas for shipping the package to us.  These hobo sailors have transformed into a pretty sharp looking crew.

Difficult to retire (aka re-gift to local Chilean friends with kids our "Worn Wear") special old pieces that we've played and lived hard in - even with their missing stitches, holes, tears, stains, and a few salt-seized zippers - because the memory of our voyages are imprinted in their strong fibers.

Both of our girls are currently featured on the patagonia.com USA web store's Girls and Baby pages. Images are from Auckland, New Zealand's Viaduct Harbour, our last port of call before arriving in Chile.
