southern ocean wave forms

Beautiful continuous wave forms way down deep.  This was the mega powerful sea state that we saw two days before getting dismasted on our passage attempt from Auckland to Lorient (non-stop, via Cape Horn). Magnificent, mesmerizing big blue walls that simultaneously demanded our complete and utter respect.

Anasazi Girl wave surfing at 56S.  This is the magical place of dreams, one of the wildest spots on this planet.  It is here that James is most comfortable, completely in his element and truly at home.

When the sailing is good, it's real damn good.
