tormentina's 9th birthday / grenada

We closed out a stellar 9th birthday celebration on the dock with candles & watermelon sugar. An amazing day spent with good friends full of LOVE for my first-born girl: sailing/fishing on Gizmo, food/drink/cake at Laura's, swimming, a fire on the beach to melt wax & make candles, and night time sparklers & fireworks. Pure magic thanks to all our friends for making this day so special for my girl.

old friends in new ports / st. david's harbour / grenada

Such a treat for us to have friends in the same port... I love the sailing community and the ability to reconnect with people in new places. So thankful for friendships that endure after many years and sea miles apart. Awesome & special time for us to be together with these beautiful people & look forward when we get to connect again.

catamaran gizmo / morelli & melvin 65 / grenada

The best thing about sailing is running into old friends in new ports.

It's been 5 years since we were in the same port with Paul Stratfold, the captain of Gizmo. Back then Tormentina was 5, Raivo 3, and Pearl was a newborn. We were nighbors at the Viaduct Basin in Auckland, New Zealand.

Tormentina was super excited to see Paul and his girlfriend Shiralee Fitzgerald again. Even more exciting was our whole crew getting invited to take a day sail together from St. George's harbour to St. David's.
