The last Sunday of every month, a Transbordadora Austral ferry (the Yaghan) services the small town of Puerto Toro, located just East of Puerto Williams on the Beagle. The kids make it a point to take this day trip every month, even though it means leaving early, head-lamps on and walking/riding in the dark to the ferry landing regardless of weather conditions. It's pretty sweet to see them lay out their packs with excitement the night before. Now that Anasazi Girl is bound to the dock, any trip on the water is pretty special, but especially when you get to see a small fishing village like this one.
