Punta del Este / Maldonado Department / URUGUAY (March 2017)
After our first passage in nearly 3 years, our family was ecstatic to make landfall in Uruguay. All of the anxiety and fears that had felt so powerful & overwhelming before we left port were erased immediately once we were at sea.

We had 13 magical days with our family aboard Anasazi Girl. With each additional mile we made north along the coast of Argentina, there grew a simulataneous confidence in ourselves as sailors, and trust in the boat and the new rig.

We walked our happy salty family from the port to the prefectura, customs & immigration offices on the waterfront of Punta del Este to make clearance. We got 90 days as tourists, and we were told by customs that the boat could stay indefinitely. What a gift!!

En route to the Uruguay Prefectura & Customs offices.
