nick leggatt / rio de janeiro

Super cool to come into port and tie up next to our old friend Nick Leggatt from South Africa. Last time we saw him was in 2008 in Cape Town when I was pregnant with Tormentina.

At that time, Anasazi Girl was was tied up at the old Shosholoza dock next to Thomas Coville who was reparing an ice-damaged float on Sodebo.

James was preparing to go non-stop solo from Cape Town to Bermuda on A. Girl and Nick was part of Coville's delivery crew to bring Sodebo back to New York.

Love how small the sailing world is, and if you sail long enough, you eventually get to cross paths with old faces in a new port.
